Firephone: A Typeface

Based on painted type found on a 1970s firefighter emergency telephone box. Firephone is the imperfect digital emulation (and major expansion) of an imperfect hand-made work. Simultaneously loud and simple, it's a typeface perfect for sounding the alarm. The original artist of the 14 glyphs pictured above is yet unknown. The expanded typeface, made up of 600 additional glyphs was drawn by Toño Rodas in 2023. Two OpenType font files: Firephone-Full.otf & Firephone-Line.otf, are available in every pay option.
